Gotta Love Chicago

What would have been the point of coming to Chicago and not partaking in the Taste of Chicago. I haven't been in like five years and even though the tickets are a lot more expensive I still have fun. I am glad that someone had the bright idea to move all the vendors off to the sides, I have no idea who thought having the vendors in the middle was the right move. I could actually move through the crowd and not feel claustrophobic.

This was the first time Brandon had been and he loved every minute of it. I'm pretty sure he has never seen that many people in one place at one time. He ate everything I ate but I think his favorite or should I say favorite by far were the sausage pizza from Connies pizza and the chicken wings from Harold's.

BTW for I'm taking up donations for the Brandon needs his own cell phone fund. The boy won't say 2 words when he gets the thing but he just has to have it plastered to his ear at all times. I wonder where he gets his cell phone addiciton from.

New Hair do

Well I have been talking about cutting my hair for some time now and on Friday I just went for it. I absolutely love it, I'm probably going to cry about it tomorrow but what can I do its cut now. I'm going back for highlights on Wednesday will post new photos.

Today is truly a sad day.

Today is truly a sad day. June 25, 2009 we lost two great entertainers. Farrah Fawcett (February 2, 1947[1] – June 25, 2009) and Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009). My heart goes out to both family and their fans. Farrah put a long hard fight and she is truly in a better place. Michael's death was so unexpected, there have been rumors of him being sick but no one especially me was prepared for the news flash that he was rushed to the hospital in cardiac arrest. I am still in shock and probably will be for quite some time.

I Have Arrived

Good morning, I have no idea why I am up this early this is supposed to be a vacation. I went to sleep late last night or should I say early this morning and yet here U am wide awake. My baby whom I just knew was going to be up is still knocked out but not for long he must wake up I have to return his sleep schedule to some semblance of normal.

I can honestly say today was good day even though I had to take three finals today. I had one comprehensive test and two ATI tests. For those of you possibly reading this blog and wondering just what the heck is an ATI. Well ATI is this company that puts together learning materials and tests for all kinds of subjects but the particular ATI I'm taking is for nurses.I know my grades for the two ATI's and I'm happy to say that I passed not with flying colors but hey a pass is a pass. I'm officially on Summer break I am out of school until July 7th and I am going to have a blast. I leave for Chicago on the 15th and I can't wait.

I did get to hang out with my girls again today and I am truly going to miss them while I'm away. On an interesting not today I saw the strangest thing happen today. Take a look at the picture. Here is the back story. So I'm hungry and decide to grab a bite to eat at Church's and this is what I witness. The transformer or what ever you call it burst into flames on top of the power lines. I have never seen anything like it and was about to call 911 because this all just happened to happen right in front of a Gas Station. Danger was averted when it burned itself out Thank God.

4th level nursing is almost done

Okay good people or should I say person since I only have one person following this blog. LOL!!! Anyway I'm don't have much to say except I am so happy that this quarter is almost over, actually it is over tomorrow is finals and then I am off to Chicago for 3 weeks of relaxation and partying. My girls (Shekita and Angel) and I finally found a Mexican restaurant close enough to the school for us to get lunch and still make it back to class on time or should I say almost on time. Lunch was at 11:30 and I am still full and it is 8pm, I definitely feel I got my money's worth. For anyone interest the name of the place is La Fiesta and it is on Virgina Avenue in College Park (I think that is College Park). Enough of this random rambling I'm off to study.

There's Nothing Like A new Hair Do

Well every since I took my micros out last week I have been going insane with my hair. Let's just say I was in desperate need of a touch up and some of my hair got chopped off inadvertently. I decided enough was enough and did what I had to do and made a trip to the salon. Nothing like a new hair do to make a girl happy. I'm going back in 2 weeks for some highlights if money is looking right.

Of course the first picture is the before and the second picture is the after. Not really a good picture but hey its all I got for now hopefully I will get some new ones tomorrow. I am slowly starting down the road to a new me. Tomorrow is pamper me day so Manicure and Pedicure it is along with getting my eyebrows done. Oh yes its all about me and Me son from this day forward. Speaking of the munchkin here is a picture of the little man.

It has been brought to my attention by a certain friend (you know whom you are) that I have not updated this blog in a month of Sundays. Well that is all about to change because I am going to turn all this negative energy surrounding me into something positive.
